Overview:

Avenica is currently recruiting an entry-level Claims Trainee. This position is responsible for uncovering, reporting, and organizing details and information around claims and all communicating with all stakeholders. This is the perfect opportunity for recent college graduates looking to develop in operations and business-to-customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Review all claims to determine all actions including but not limited to settlements, payments, communications, and documentations are made in accordance with company and legal regulations.
  • Report on any irregularities and discrepancies
  • Works with customers to retrieve/relay information relevant to short-term claims
  • Identifies and resolves problems and make decisions independently
  • Helps create a team environment that achieves positive outcomes
  • Manage case deadlines independently
  • Present case findings to clients in quarterly meetings
  • Provides top notch customer service by maintaining a dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers

Qualifications/characteristics of a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree required. All majors encouraged to apply 
  • 0-3 years of professional experience. This is an entry level position.
  •  Strong interpersonal and communication skills – must be motivated by working with people and servicing their needs
  • Prior customer service experience in retail, restaurant, or other business situations
  • Reliable and dependable work ethic
  • Solid investigative and creative problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter and career oriented
  • Available for regular regional and national travel
