Position: Junior Insurance Analyst

Location: San Francisco, CA


Avenica is currently recruiting for an Junior Insurance Analyst position. The Insurance Analyst helps organize, coordinate and carry out all customer service department projects and processes. This is a great entry level position with opportunities for professional growth and development.


  • Serve as communications liaison to clients and internal teams
  • Support project coordination and daily workflows
  • Maintain confidential records and office files
  • Process and report data
  • Provides top notch customer service by maintaining a dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
  • Helps create a team environment that achieves positive outcomes
  • Utilizes verbal and numerical critical thinking skills to gather information, apply reasoning, and draw conclusions
  • Resolve problems and make decisions independently
  • Manage case deadlines independently
  • Works with customers to retrieve/relay information relevant to short-term claims
  • Present case findings to clients in quarterly meetings

Qualifications/characteristics of a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree required. All majors encouraged to apply including - Economics, History, Psychology, Communications, Business, Anthropology, Liberal Arts, Biology, English, Criminal Justice, Political Science, etc.
  • 0-3 years of professional experience. This is an entry level position.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – must be motivated by working with people and servicing their needs
  • Prior customer service experience in retail, restaurant, or other business situations
  • Reliable and dependable work ethic
  • Solid investigative and creative problem solving skills
  • Self-starter and career oriented
  • Available for regular regional and national travel
